About Counselling

My belief is that people are able to find the solution to their own problems through exploring their thoughts and feelings with someone they trust. Therefore counselling for me, is about having a mutual enquiry into what is happening. I try to empathise with you, put myself in your shoes and to understand your experience from your point of view. I do not tend to give advice. I aim to enable you to find the answers to whatever is troubling you by being as understanding, accepting and genuine as I can be. In that way a helpful relationship is created between us.
